History of piano

Piano has it's father. It was the first keyboard-based musical instrument called Clavi. It was the first keyboard musical instrument to be played. Clavi has a small size, and don't have any damper. It works just like playing guitar by picking it. It works using some nails with some stick attached. These sticks are used to pick a right string.
The next keyboard was called Harpsicord. This keyboard is almost same as the piano does. Just its technic to playing is a bit different. It has cap and can be opened. Harpsicord's cap can be opened until 90 degrees to up. Harpsicord didn't have pedals.
Next it was Piano. Now, piano was first invented by Bartolomeo Cristofori. The most expensive piano has the brand: Steinway's Sons. It was the most expensive piano and the most natural-material builder piano. It's wood is very suitable to build a piano. First piano used to only have sustain. Sustain is a ledal to lengthen the sound by lifting up a damper.
Next piano used to have 3 pedals. It's called: una corda, sostenuto, and sustain. Like what we known, sustain still has the same function. Una corda used to shift all 88 keys. Sostenuto used to catch a lifted damper, so we can play a note just like you're holding it. These functions ONLY available for grand piano.
Another piano is called Upright piano. It has smaller size and the strings didn't lay horizontally. They stand vertically steep. The functions of the pedals really-really different. Una corda is used to make press of keys easier. Sostenuto is to soften the sound. Instead, sustain still has the exact same function.
These keyboards now invented in electric version. Now you can play piano with less price by buying an electronic piano. It is cheaper to play and everything can be adjusted, so you won't need to spend much time to repair the piano itself.
